LOUISVILLE, KY— Held annually at the Galt House Hotel’s Grand Ballroom on on the eve of the Kentucky Derby, Unbridled Eve is a black tie-optional event which offers live performances along with a VIP cocktail reception and dinner. The 2016 event featured performances by Robin Thicke, John Elefante, Dennis DeYoung, JD Shelburne and Wynonna Judd.
Marcus Cambron and his team at Visual Productions have been creating the evening’s production design over the last 18 years working with a number of event sponsors. Knowing this year the organizers wanted to capitalize on the performance capabilities of LED video, Cambron turned to Nashville-based PixelFLEX, choosing the company’s FLEXCurtain product for its combination of light weight, high resolution, and ease of setup and use.
“This year our stage set up was 42 feet wide by 24 feet deep, and so we used a 16-foot-wide by 8-foot-high FLEXCurtain HD configuration to really fill up the space behind the performers,” said Cambron. “The LED wall really gave the performers a great backlit look and it made the production design seem more of a complete show. Nowadays in production design, people always want a little bit more, and the FLEXCurtain HD really gave us that heightened sense of visual excitement for Unbridled Eve.”
