MONTREAL – After working on Jay Z’s two nights show at Carnegie Hall last year, Moment Factory was tasked by Roc Nation (entertainment company founded by Jay-Z) and Willo Perron to work on one of the biggest stadium tours of the summer: Justin Timberlake and Jay Z’s “Legends of the Summer.” For this fast-track project, Moment Factory had the mandate to create original video content that would enhance the artists’ performance onstage and maximize the impact of the sizeable scenography.
More details from Moment Factory (www.momentfactory.com):
More than 20 different looks were developed to animate the stage across the full range of songs performed by the two artists.
One aspect of Moment Factory’s approach to the show was to create 3-D optical illusions, appearing and disappearing so it never distracts from the presence of the stars but magnifies their performances.
Every step in the production process was carried out in close collaboration with Jesse Lee Stout, designer; Drew Findley, content manager and programmer; Nick Whitehouse, LD and Bobby Schneider, production manager. Willo Perron created the ‘living stage’ concept and the show’s aesthetic.
