MagicSnow, the company famous for large scale snow effects and theatrical snow shows, has been chosen by producers of ABC’s hit romance reality series “The Bachelor” to create an extravagant snow themed date to air on Monday January 13, 2014; with a bonus “behind the scenes” special airing the night before.
The Hollywood, CA based special effects company created a moonlit real snow landscape, sledding hill and romantic snowfall effects to highlight a private concert by soul singer Josh Krajcik.
Over 100 tons of real snow were produced by MagicSnow at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu to create the magical winter wonderland in 80 degree weather. The fairy tale date with Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis is capped with a romantic snowfall designed by MagicSnow.
Before Juan Pablo’s big date on Monday, viewers got a behind-the-scenes as a talented team of producers and crew turned a hot dusty California field into a magical, snowy winter wonderland for Juan Pablo’s first date. The ‘Winter Wonderland’ date on “The Bachelor” featuring MagicSnow premiered Monday, January 13, 2014 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on ABC. “The Bachelor: Behind the Scenes,” featuring MagicSnow, aired Sunday, January 12 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET), on ABC.
