NEW CASTLE, DE – Video equipment rental company Pete’s Big TVs was profiled by national business magazine Inc. for its involvement in Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band’s 2012 tour.

The article, entitled “The Entrepreneurs Behind Bruce Springsteen,” features a quick history on Pete’s Big TVs and the video equipment and crew they provided for the US, UK and European tour in 2012. The article in the December/January issue is still on some newsstands.

Springsteen was a Top 10 Tour of 2012 in various entertainment industry magazines, charting at No. 2 according to concert ticket sales under the No.1  Madonna.

The article capped off Pete’s Big TVs busiest year in its 25-year history. Said President Peter Daniel, “The difference is visible in the quantity of gear I’ve been ordering every year. I’m now placing 1,000-piece orders rather than the 100-piece orders in the past.”

Daniel points to equipment quality for the surge in business. “Everything in our warehouse is less than two years old,” he said. “We focus on providing the newest technology.”

Vice President Guy Benjamin agrees. “It’s a direct result of the equipment we made an investment in. Part of that new technology includes the new high resolution LED video panels which emit no radio frequency interference. The response to our new equipment has been great, especially by the TV industry. Also, with older equipment, the engineer in the mobile broadcast truck usually had to spend time balancing color temperature on the video panels to balance the lighting. However, using our gear, the color balance happens within the video panels, so it frees up time for the engineer in the TV production truck.”

As a result, Benjamin says, “We’re doing more high profile projects for networks and broadcasts, including DVD shoots, for clients such as HBO, Showtime, Comedy Central, TV Land and BET Network. We also have some new TV show clients on the horizon this year.”

Daniel and Benjamin agree that the “winter lull” in business didn’t happen this year. “Now January and February is as busy as our summer is,” Benjamin notes. “We used to log about 80 projects per year and now we’ve more than doubled it. It’s been nonstop.”

Pete’s Big TVs just celebrated its 25th anniversary in the industry. Along with Springsteen’s tour, 2012 highlights have included NBC’s Olympics coverage in London, “Jersey Boys” and “Rock of Ages” tours, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies, Donald Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice” finale, Donny & Marie’s tour, Elvis 35th Anniversary Show, kiddie tours “Yo Gabba Gabba” and “Super Why Live” and more.

“Spending money on new technology seems to be paying off,” Benjamin says. “So it’s an honor for a business magazine like Inc. to validate all of the work we’ve been doing.”
