ORLANDO, FL – Barco noted that Evolve Media Group is the first in the U.S. to order the new Barco S3-4K compact processor and EC-50 controller. Evolve Media Group is also expanding its training programs for those who rent and lease AV products.

More details from Barco (www.barco.com):

To strategically position itself for the evolution to 4K presentation of large-scale media events, Evolve began acquiring Barco’s Event Master series products last year with the purchase of multiple E2 screen management systems, as well as XHD-404 media servers and HDQ-4K35 projectors.

“Barco is a great partner for us, not only because of its best-in-class, highly reliable live event solutions, but also based on their commitment to technology evolution and comprehensive support,” comments Tyler Mayne, President of Evolve Media Group, Inc. “Barco has a history of developing future-ready products that provide the functionality our customers need now, with easy expandability to fulfill their technology requirements well into the future.”

Future-ready 4K technology offers power and versatility

Barco’s Event Master platform is a reusable concept that leverages all of the company’s smart technologies into a single box. Designed with a modular architecture, these products easily support future adaptation to evolving user requirements and field serviceability. “While we remain relevant with current interface trends – such as DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, and SDI up to 4K – we can also build a card for any type of signal interface or resolution on the horizon,” comments Andreas Yerocostas, Director of Research & Development – ImagePROcessing for Barco.

A three-pronged approach to maximizing value

This is one of the reasons that Barco was invited to become the inaugural partner in a new entity, the “Evolve Trifecta,” an integrated program designed to provide clients with convenient, custom-tailored video product and service packages. Three components—Evolve Rent, Evolve Lease, and Evolve Academy— comprise the supporting parts of the Trifecta, providing truly full-spectrum service from product acquisition to training and customer support.

To ensure that its customers fully reap the benefits of Barco solutions, Evolve is expanding its factory-certified training program to include instruction on additional Barco products. In September, Evolve will become the first third-party company to offer training on the expanding Event Master Series, including the S3-4K screen management system and EC-50 controller. Evolve has already trained more than 60 E2 system users, with future classes already filling up quickly. “These classes have been critical to the success of our Academy, with more than half of our students taking the E2 course,” comments Mayne. Interested users can obtain more information or register for Evolve’s Barco product training courses at the Evolve Academy or can sign-up at Barco University.

“We are pleased to support Evolve as a partner in their new Trifecta concept,” comments Yerocostas. “Barco’s industry-leading projection and image processing products are the perfect fit for Evolve’s new model, which enables users to leverage the full value of our solutions.”
