LONDON – For a live concert featuring Neil Diamond that was staged at the London Palladium Oct. 14 and taped for a Nov. 13 premiere air date on British TV, Creative Technology provided visual support in the form of an 11.5 by 8.6 meter Spider 30 LED video screen. The 75-minute show, Neil Diamond: One Night Only, was hosted by Rob Brydon, who helped bring the U.K. audience on a retrospective journey back to Diamond’s roots in Brooklyn, NY.

CT supplies the one-off ITV special featuring the legendary American singer.
Ahead of his 2015 UK and Ireland tour, American singer / songwriter Neil Diamond has recorded a one-off ITV special.
The 75-minute Neil Diamond: One Night Only hosted by Rob Brydon features Diamond performing some of his greatest hits, including Sweet Caroline and Forever in Blue Jeans, as well as a few from his new album, Melody Road.
Creative Technology (CT) was contracted by ITV to provide the stage backdrop. Working with their Designer Peter Bingemann and Lighting Designer Dave Davey, CT installed an 11.5m x 8.6m Spider 30 screen, achieving the desired softened look by using a rear projection surface in front of the display. This allowed a lower resolution and lower cost product to be used, increasing the impact without overpowering the star of the show.
