ARLINGTON, TX  – When country superstar Kenny Chesney took the stage for his globally televised concert during halftime of the Thanksgiving Day game between the Cowboys and Redskins, the production team from Dallas-based Corporate Magic was on the spot as well.  Off-camera, of course, but no less critical to the performance.

For the 16th consecutive year, the Dallas Cowboys engaged the messaging architects of Corporate Magic to help conceptualize, design, stage and produce their world-renowned Thanksgiving Day halftime extravaganza, for one of the biggest television audiences of the year.  The show also serves as the official launch of the Salvation Army’s 122nd annual Red Kettle Campaign.

Visionary behind the annual halftime shows is Charlotte Jones Anderson, Executive Vice President of Brand Management/President of Charities for the Dallas Cowboys.  She is also is serving a three-year term as National Advisory Board Chairperson for the Salvation Army.

Stephen Dahlem, Corporate Magic’s Senior Creative Director, was again tasked with ensuring that every detail of the presentation went off without a hitch. Corporate Magic coordinated with Chesney’s team on the many lighting, staging and logistical details of the artist’s performance. Dahlem’s crew also helped design the set and produced the videos that led into the show.

Argyle, TX-based GoVision provided a 23 ft x 23 ft modular LED stage floor comprised of Pandora 10 tiles, which created on the field a dynamic video surface on which Chesney and his band performed. The high-resolution, lightweight Pandora 10 tiles, which are mounted on a strong aluminum alloy structure, have a 10.4mm pixel pitch and 48×48 pixel panel resolution.

“This is always one of our favorite events of the year,” said Dahlem. “It’s always a joy working with Charlotte and her team on this one-of-a-kind production.”
