Rancho Cordova, CA– Visualization pioneer Barco and audio visual designer/integrator Mankin Media Systems (MMS) have created a new AV system designed to elevate the video shows supporting Silverdale Baptist Church’s weekly sermons and religious programs. Fulfilling the church’s need for an economical, power-conserving projection solution, Barco provided its HDX-W14 large venue projectors to deliver amazing image quality and reliability to produce stunning shows.

Silverdale Baptist Church’s 1,640 seat state-of-the-art worship center is the product of a substantial renovation designed to accommodate a brand new audio visual system including lighting, high-fidelity audio systems and DLP projectors. Because the church had to create an integrated AV solution whose electricity requirements fit within the existing electrical load for the entire building, the energy efficiency of all components was of paramount importance. As a result, when Silverdale and MMS evaluated projectors, they considered power-saving features just as critical as performance and image. The clear victor: Barco’s HDX-W14 large venue projector.

“Barco projectors provide great value in cost per lumens and total cost of ownership, offering a better price-performance ratio compared to other projectors on the market,” commented Stephen Roberts, Project Manager for MMS. “Another important factor in choosing Barco is the future-proof nature of the projectors. We chose the two HDX-W14s for the side screens because they are such a new, modular technology. So, when the church adds a third projector in the future, this platform will still be available and relevant.”

“The quality of the Barco projector in my book is second to none, just stellar,” commented Mark Randolph, Media/Associate Worship Pastor for Silverdale. “It’s a very good piece of equipment, very user-friendly, very intuitive and organized in a way that makes sense.”

An InAVation award winner, Barco’s HDX-W14 is a 14,000 lumens, WUXGA (1920×1200) three-chip DLP projector presenting crisp, vivid imagery on any screen. Featuring a convenient LCD screen for image preview, auto-realignment capabilities, and text message notifications of status and alerts, the projector was designed with ease of use in mind. It also features quick set-up and maintenance with only five building blocks, and draws only 2,600 W power during operation, making it an eco-friendly choice.
