Tomcat USA’s Edge is a 30-inch-by-24-inch pre-rig truss that can be stowed in trucks four trusses wide and features stacking spigots, plus the option for rotating spigots for connection in multiple planes. Edge also eliminates the need for bulky corner blocks, and damaged ladders can be replaced without replacing the entire section of truss. Edge can accommodate a flat pack choice for air travel, and the truss comes equipped with an internal diagonal slider assembly that adjusts to create space for larger lights or extra lighting positions. Along with its space-efficient design to optimize truck space, Edge offers savings in the form of low shipping weight, reduced hardware and replacement parts.
“We built Edge from the well established foundation of conventional Swing Wing, first introduced in 1999, and improved every aspect of the truss,” said Brad Barnhill, sales manager. “Our focus is making Edge accessible without renting, like others have chosen to do,” he added.
An 8-foot section of Edge weighs 195 lbs. and can hold 3,760 lbs total UDL over a 40-foot span. Edge is available now in 8-foot and 10-foot lengths. Tomcat truss products meet ANSI E1.2-2006.
