Synthe FX has announced Luminair 2.0 wireless multi-touch DMX control software for the iPhone and iPod Touch. It uses Art-Net protocol to control compatible lighting and media server equipment using the internal Wi-Fi hardware. New features include "Stacks," a cue-list playback system. Cues can be programmed directly within Luminair or recorded as snapshots from an external console using Luminair's DMX input. "Stacks" has five playback modes, and each cue has assignable timing information. Battery life in playback is 2.5-3 hours, or 8-9+ hours using a 3rd party external battery pack. It can run indefinitely plugged into a power source.
