Prolyte H40R Truss

Share this Post:

Prolyte Group’s H40R Truss, to be shown at PLASA 2011 (Stand 1G40) is designed to meet customer requests for smaller truss with higher loading capacities. The new H40R also borrows advances designed into Prolyte’s H30V, H40V and S36R truss products, applying them to rectangular standard H40 truss.

Among other design features, the H40R truss has three-sided webbing and thicker braces on the bottom side. That promises to make it easier for users to mount automated luminaires/moving heads, and to reduce the torsion effect that comes from one-sided loading in standard trusses.

The H40R Truss’ spigot orientation follows that of the S series truss, allowing for easier assembly while the truss is still on the floor.

The H40R truss measures 339mm high by 239mm wide. The diagonals are placed to allow room for a 30D truss to rest on the bottom chords.

The loading rate is comparable to the H40V, taking into account that, due to the three-sided webbing, lateral forces are limited. The H40R is available in three standard lengths: 1, 2 and 3 meters. There’s also a box-corner truss available.
