NASHVILLE —PixelFlex is introducing its Light Rigid 8 (LR-8), targeted for permanent outdoor installations and touring applications. The LR-8 offers a bright, crisp picture that is rated for complete outdoor use and features a thin construction, which makes it easy to assemble, disassemble and store.

More details from PixelFlex (www.LEDCurtain.com):

Key features of PixelFlex’s newest LED product include 8mm resolution, a 140 degree vertical and horizontal viewing angle, Powercon and Ethernet connectors, and a per tile weight of approximately 17 lbs. Additionally, with 281 trillion colors available and a lifespan of 100,000 hours, the LR-8 presents flexibility and durability to customers seeking to maximize viewer engagement.

“Much like our LR-4, which we recently unveiled at InfoComm, the LR-8 was developed to meet the industry’s demand for higher video resolution with ease of installation,” said Jeremy Byrd, president and founder of PixelFlex. “Where the LR-8 differs is in its performance in outdoor applications. While the system can be used by touring musicians on the road or in multi-use theatre environments, the LR-8 is also perfect for outdoor installations, where sharpness and clarity of picture are critical to the viewer’s experience.”

Videos and images can be sent to PixelFlex’s LR-8 through a variety of connections, including DVI, HDMI, VGA, SDI, HD-SDI, Composite, S-video or Component.

“With the introduction of our LR-8 video screen, PixelFlex is expanding its customer-base to include sports and entertainment venues looking for high quality and durable LED solutions that maximize flexibility of use,” Byrd added. “Whether it’s showing video replays of a tremendous catch or images of memorabilia available at the stadium’s fan store, the LR-8 is a multifunctional solution that can meet a variety of needs.”
