TEMPE, AZ – Pixel Perfect LLC has launched Show Pro, an OS X native digital cue sheet application and free iPad companion app created for the live events industry. Show Pro promotes efficient communication within the production team by connecting every crew member electronically to the stage manager or director.

The “Current and Standby Cue” view follows along in real-time keeping everyone up-to-the-minute as the stage manager clicks the “Go” button to advance cues in the show flow.
“Never before has the live events industry been able to connect computers and iPads together for real time cue advances and updates until Show Pro,” says Dave McBride, co-founder of Show Pro Software.
McBride believes Show Pro will change the way live event professionals design, rehearse and call shows. The industry standard currently involves creating a show flow or run of show in a word processing document or spreadsheet and then printing and distributing to the production team.
After changes are made during rehearsals, the stage manager or producer updates the original document for the team, who then has to rewrite any notes they made on the first version. Several versions may be distributed up until the live show begins at which point any on-the-fly changes are made over the headset by the show caller.
Show Pro aims to alleviate these communication challenges by connecting users via a wireless network (no Internet connection needed) and displaying real-time changes on connected iPads. Users’ private notes are saved locally on their iPads and do not have to be rewritten with each new version of the show flow.
For peace of mind, back-up options include: save to Dropbox, print hard copy, email and view cached .sho files offline on the iPad. Integrated speaker timer, cue countdown, total run time and +/- clock answer common on-site questions and keeps everyone on the same page and frees up the show caller to focus on the show.
Show Pro allows the stage manager or show caller to design a show flow or cue sheet, then connect and sync to iPads for live cueing. Once a wireless local network has been created it’s as easy as selecting Rehearsal Mode or Show Mode in the OS X software then connecting the iPads to the same network. After connecting, select the user wanted for each iPad then watch as the cue sheet appears in sync on the iPad.
