Pathway Connectivity Releases Pathscape v4.3

CANADA—Pathway Connectivity Solutions announces the release of the latest version of the Pathscape™ configuration software. Pathscape v.4.3 includes the tools for the flexibility RDM has to offer.

When RDM was first introduced to the entertainment lighting industry as a standard in 2010, Pathway Connectivity was one of the first manufacturers to implement RDM into their devices. As members of the ESTA Control Protocol Working Group for over 20 years, Pathway has played a role developing the standard and continues with the work as RDM has progressed over the years with the development of ANSI E1.33 and E1.37. Pathway knows the value DMX512 and RDM standard brings to lighting systems and has made sure that with the v4.3 release, users have all the tools needed to access the advanced features the RDM protocol offers entertainment technicians.

At the heart of the Pathscape 4.3 release is the improved ability to discover and access reliable information from all devices on a network. Manage RDM devices across multiple DMX ports simultaneously within the same user interface. There is support for Queued Messages and Manufacturer Specific PIDs (Property IDs). This means real-time feedback from sensors and other device-specific information. With background discovery enabled, Pathscape will warn you when devices go offline. Another wonderful feature of this release is that all RDM properties can be saved and restored from disk; an extremely useful feature for road houses with fixed rigs. Pathscape will also restore RDM properties to the whole rig from a show file.

These new features and changes come simultaneously with a firmware update – version 6.2 – which comes packaged with the Pathscape installer. To take advantage of all Pathscape 4.3 has to offer, update all devices to the latest firmware. The macOS and Windows Install packages are available for download now.

A full list of the new features, changes and bug fixes is located in the Release Notes on Pathway’s website. For questions about Pathscape please contact pathway-support@acuitybrands.com
