The Martin MAC 101 is a compact, lightweight and simple LED moving head wash light. It features a tight and bright beam (2200 lumens), rapid movement and calibrated colors, and is priced low enough for large-scale effects from a multitude of the units. In that scenario, each MAC 101 can work as a small part in a larger whole. Alternately, the fixture can be used as a dynamic replacement for static PAR cans, and, in smaller numbers, the MAC 101 can still work well as a versatile wash light, useful for visual effects for concerts, exhibitions, clubs, television studios, bars, restaurants and special events.
The MAC 101 projects a tight beam with a soft yet defined edge. The optional wide angle diffuser can broaden the 13.5° beam angle for different looks. A calibrated RGB color mixing system plus color wheel effect provides a full spectrum of color choices. The 101 is also touted for its smooth dimming and its ability to be used for strobe effects.
With its small size (9.5 by 9.5 by 12 inches) and low weight (8.1 lbs.), the MAC 101 is Martin's fastest moving head. It also consumes only 125 watts of power (0.6 A @ 230V / 1.2 A @ 110V), saving energy and eliminating the need to run thick cables for big rigs. The power can also be daisy chained between fixtures with PowerCon cables for easier setup. An eight-unit flightcase option is available for easy and safe transport.
