I.Weiss introduces a new item in its Via-Line of motorized rigging products – the Viawinch, a midway solution between a manual hand crank and a high-end hoist that provides a number of features. The Viawinch is a single line point hoist that offers a travel of 35' in about a minute, with soft start and stop guaranteeing controlled movement of lighting instruments and other mounted devices. With its compact size and weight, it is specifically constructed to be used in various orientations including; a deck winch, a clew-winch, or a grid-mounted point hoist. While utilizing a three phase brake motor with a high gearing ratio for safety, the winch only requires single phase 120 volt 20 amps input power. The Viawinch is able to lift 800 lbs.
