Green Hippo has announced the release of the new ScreenThief component in conjunction with software version 3.0.14 of the Hippotizer media server. ScreenThief allows remote PC screen capture in real time via Ethernet and use the content as a source.
It can be used to incorporate PowerPoint presentations into Hippotizer-driven shows and also works with software such as Easy Worship or web pages and product demonstrations.
The manufacturer claims that it has "almost unperceivable" latency and lossless quality up to 1280×1024 resolution. It is operated from within Green Hippo's ZooKeeper software and eliminates the need for any additional capture cards.
