AUSTIN, TX — High End Systems, a Barco company, announced the release of its Hog 4 OS version 2.2.0. Users of Hog 4 OS consoles running v2.0.0 and greater can upgrade to v2.2.0; those with consoles running older software versions will need to fully install the latest software. Platforms include Hog 4, Full Boar 4, Road Hog 4, Nano Hog 4, Hog 4PC, Hedge Hog 4/4N and RackHog 4. Upgrade instructions can be found in the Hog 4 OS help manual.

More details from High End Systems (www.highend.com):

Show File Compatibility

Show files created with (or saved using) Hog 4 OS v2.2.0 are not backwards compatible with Hog 4 OS v1.2.1 or older or with any version of Hog 3 OS. However, older pre-existing Hog 4 OS and Hog 3 OS show files are forward compatible with Hog 4 OS v2.2.0.

New Features

Playback Masking

A new feature known as “playback masking” has been added to cuelists and scenes. Playback masking allows users to select which fixture function kinds a list or scene will play back. Playback masking does not determine how data is recorded into the list or scene and does not change existing recorded data. Playback masking only determines which parts of the already recorded cue/scene data will be executed when that cuelist or scene is played. See section 17.5.8 of the v2.2.0 Hog 4OS help manual for details.

Playback Rate & Effect Rate/Size Scaling

The playback rate, effect rate, and effect size of masters (cuelists, scene, and chases) can now be adjusted by assigning the button and fader controls of a master to various scaling functions. See sections 17.5.1 and 17.8.1 of the v2.2.0 Hog 4OS help manual for details.

RackHog 4 Support

Hog 4 OS v2.2.0 adds support for the RackHog 4 console.

HedgeHog 4N Support

Hog 4 OS v2.2.0 adds support for the HedgeHog 4N console.

A number of bug fixes have also been announced; for details go to www.highend.com.
