LONDON – Green Hippo has launched Hippotizer version 3.2 software, available for download from the Green Hippo website.

After many months of developing and listening to user feedback ,version 3.2 sees one of the largest builds ever produced by the growing team at Hippo HQ. With more than seven new features and more than 100 enhancements, V3.2 takes what many call the easiest server and makes it even easier.

Version 3.2 is available free of charge from the Green Hippo website and is suitable for installation on HippoCritter, GrassHopper, HippoPortamus and HD models.

Hippotizer Product Manager Lee House says, “Version 3.2 is the result of months of development for Green Hippo. We have concentrated on producing software that meets our customer’s needs while retaining the ease of use Green Hippo are renowned for. The number of new features in this release exceeds that of any version we have ever produced in a single build and all have been tailored to customer wishes.”

What’s in v3.2: RegionMapper: Map media onto geometric 3-D shapes quickly and easily without the need for expensive models or preadjusted content.

Presets: Presets with thumbnails so you can create and playback presets faster than ever before and apply them across multiple layers and even multiple Hippotizers.

Mackie: Fully implemented support for Mackie Control Protocol allows a hands-on hardware device to control advanced functions via the industry standard MCP protocol.

Cross-fade on Layer: With the click of a mouse or via a channel of DMX you can cross fade smoothly between two pieces of media on a single layer now. A huge bonus for any operators ‘busking’ shows.

Timecode on Layer: Ensure that any layer will be triggered and synchronized when presented with Timecode. Removes the need to build multiple timelines, each with individual clips. Makes Timecode integration much simpler on any show.

MultiSelect: Bring your ‘herd’ of Hippotizers together within one control window. Select multiple layers simultaneously on the same Hippotizer or across HippoNet.

MA-net: We now support the popular MAnet from GrandMA. This has many benefits, not least of which is separating your control network from that driving your Artnet fixtures.

Responding to the demand for V3.2 training, Green Hippo has increased the frequency of its HippoSchool sessions to 30 per year. The training department has also introduced HippoSchool online webinars every week from its London HQ.
