FOR-A noted that its HVS-2000 video production switcher will make its U.S. debut at NAB 2015, which takes place April 13-16 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
More details from For-A (www.for-a.com):
First introduced at last year’s IBC Show, the HVS-2000 recently began shipping, and is the newest unit in FOR-A’s successful line of HANABI switchers. FOR-A will exhibit the switcher along with a wide variety of its video production technology in Booth C5117 during NAB
With a design that incorporated significant customer feedback, the HVS-2000 is suited to a variety of applications, including live event, television studio, OB truck, house of worship and educational settings. It can be used for SD, HD, 3G and 4K productions, and allows up to 48 inputs/18 outputs or 40 inputs/22 outputs (optional).
“We’ve been looking forward to bringing the HVS-2000 to America, and the NAB stage is the perfect place for us to do so,” said Hiro Tanoue, FOR-A America’s President. “The switcher includes many groundbreaking technologies that set it apart from other switchers in its class. FOR-A always strives to be best-in-class with each product we introduce, and we’re confident that our HVS-2000 is a game changer for video production.”
One exclusive feature offered by the video switcher is MELite™, which allows a traditional AUX bus to transform into a functional Mix Effects with cuts, mix, wipes, keys, and DVE including full preview. The MELite feature enables the HVS-2K engine to offer the production capabilities of a fully functional 6 M/E switcher. MELite is the building block for more powerful, yet easy-to-use features, such as upstream and downstream transition effects. Operators can deploy a MELite as a third M/E, transforming the switcher to a 3 M/E switcher with a 3 M/E panel. Users can also add an additional 1 M/E control panel and allow a second operator to have the added power of a second fully functional switcher in another location. The versatile, cost efficient HVS-2000 gives operators the power of six Mix Effects for multiple, independent, on-stage monitor display control.
Another exclusive feature of FOR-A’s HVS-2000 is ONStage™, which allows operators to have more power and creativity in their video switching. ONStage is designed specifically for staging events, such as house of worship or corporate events where multiple image magnification displays are used, each with independent transitions. The switcher mode allows operators to see mix, wipe, key and DVE changes with full preview control connected directly to the lever arm transition area.
With its FLEXaKEY™, unique feature, HVS-2000 operators can tailor their production needs by adding, moving, and multiplying key and DVE layers to traditional M/E or MELite resources. The HVS-2000 includes a four-channel media player capable of still image and clip store with memory back-up, along with its panel memory system P-MEM™, which includes simple panel snap shot recall of events, sequence and macro memory recalls. The switcher also features a new FOR-A-developed menu system called Midas Touch™, which enables easy configuration changes and full system control.
The HVS-2000 includes frame synchronizers on every input, including valuable frame grab for image capture on any input. Re-sizer for SD to HD migration is also included. The switcher offers a total of 12 keyers, with up to 12 floating/assignable 2.5D and 3D DVE effects, and up to four independent user configurable multi-viewers are available with the switcher.
Offering a number of functions that make it unique to other switchers in its class,
FOR-A’s new HVS-2000 unit is a cost effective and feature-packed choice for a wide variety of video production applications.
