CYPRESS, CA – FOR-A announces its participation at the upcoming InfoComm Show, where the company will showcase video switcher, video transmission, multi-viewer and character generator technology. Taking place June 17-19 in Orlando, FL., InfoComm is the world’s largest event for professional AV. FOR-A will exhibit in Booth #4361.

More details from FOR-A (www.for-a.com):

One focus of the FOR-A InfoComm booth will be its new HVS-2000 video switcher. Designed based on significant customer feedback, the HVS-2000 first made its U.S. debut at NAB earlier this year, and recently began shipping to customers worldwide. Ideal for a variety of video production applications, the HVS-2000 can be used for SD, HD, 3G and 4K productions, and allows up to 48 inputs/18 outputs or 40 inputs/22 outputs (optional). The switcher offers exclusive features, including MELite™, which allows a traditional AUX bus to transform into a functional Mix Effects with cuts, mix, wipes, keys, and DVE including full preview; an application designed specifically to give operators more power in their switching during staging events called ONStage™; and

FLEXaKEY™, which enables users to tailor their production needs by adding, moving, and multiplying key and DVE layers to traditional M/E or MELite resources.

Also showcased on the video switcher front will be FOR-A’s HVS-100 portable video switcher. Boasting exceptional cost performance, the HVS-100 includes mixed HD/SD input, frame synchronizing, a built-in Web server, clip memory feature, re-sizing engine, 2.5D wipe effects, DVE, Chroma keyer and DSK.

FOR-A will also show Fujitsu’s high-performance IP-920 encoding/decoding solution at InfoComm. The video transmission equipment uses advanced MPEG-4 AVC technology encoding, known as H.264, to perform real-time transmission of HDTV at low bit rates over DVB and broadband IT networks, and is capable of operating at less than 99ms back-to-back latency.

MV-1620HSA multi-viewer

At the show, FOR-A will also display its MV-1620HSA multi-viewer – a compact unit that accepts up to 16 channels of mixed 3G/HD/SD-SDI or analog composite signals for monitoring on up to two screens. The MV-1620HSA offers 4K-input support, allowing users to cascade the multi-viewer with other units to display up to 64 sources at once.

The company will also show its VTW-350HS character generator at InfoComm. The HD/SD unit features a lightweight, compact design and provides a rich array of text/graphic functions, more than 260 transitions, template control, and general-purpose file interface, among other tools to meet all advanced production needs.
