“We are constantly working to improve our product” CEO Chris Stein explained, “Flex is under active development by a team of dedicated engineers, and our web-based platform allows our users to immediately receive the benefits of our software releases without having to purchase or download any new hardware or software.”
The user-friendly interface, new functionalities of enhanced crew scheduling, integration with Google calendar and Facebook events, functionality of providing alternatives and suggestions for unavailable inventory, and more position Flex as a leading provider of web-based rental and inventory management software for the unique needs of the live event industry. Flex is also undertaking a transition to HTML5 which will be smooth for its customers both in ease of transition and cost-effectiveness, as the transition to HTML5 will be released through our standard Flex software updates release process.
At InfoComm 2014, Flex unveiled the company’s new native iOS application for iPad and iPhone. This application allows for reviewing schedules and pull-sheets easily from one’s phone, and the camera on the device can be used for scanning in and out inventory in place of a scanner (or, the device can be paired with a bluetooth scanner if desired). This directly supports the needs of our unique rental and production industry, and the company is excited to bring the iOS application to market for its Flex Users later this fall.
