Elation Professional's Platinum Spot 5R uses MSD Platinum 5R Lamp Technology from Philips. The 160W/ 7,950 lumen discharge lamp source helps the fixture combine brightness and quick pan/tilt and color/gobo movements in a compact, lightweight package. Features include eight dichroic colors; 22 gobos (8 rotating/indexing, 14 static); a three-facet rotating prism effect; variable frost; motorized iris; motorized focus; variable speed shutter/strobe; and 0 to 100 percent mechanical dimmer.
Operating on 16 DMX channels, the Platinum Spot 5R has a 540-degree (630-degree optional) pan and 265-degree tilt and a beam angle of 17 degrees.
The Platinum Spot 5R measures 14.25" by 13.25" by 17.75" and weighs 28.6 lbs. The fixture outputs 322 foot candles at 16 feet and draws 350 watts total power average when the lamp is on and all of the fixture's motors are moving.
The MSRP of the Platinum Spot 5R is $2,799.95. The first units are scheduled to start shipping in February 2010.
