Elation Professional credits a new light source technology for giving its Platinum Spot 5R the ability to emit an output comparable to a 575-watt fixture in a moving head fixture that’s half the size and weight of a typical 250-watt fixture, while using less than half the energy. Other advantages and features include faster pan, tilt and color/gobo changes and Variable Frost, giving the fixture the ability to function as a hybrid spot/wash fixture. There are eight dichroic colors and eight rotating and 14 static gobos. The Platinum Spot 5R also features a motorized iris, focus and rotating prism effects and optics geared for a even light field.
