ChamSys’ MagicQ MQ80 compact console offers 24 universes direct from the console along with a large central touch screen, full size faders and high speed graphics for a faster response when working with media.

More details from Chamsys (www.chamsys.co.uk):

12,288 DMX channels in a compact package, proven to run at full speed with all channels fully patched via ArtNet, sACN, PathPort Net and ShowNet. In addition there are 4 fully patchable direct DMX outputs on the rear panel, MIDI, SMPTE, a 4 port network switch and a built in uninterruptible power supply.

ChamSys MagicQ MQ80 Compact ConsoleMagicQ Compact consoles are designed to travel. The current line, in their soft cases, are all “carry-on” compliant for any airline in the world. The slightly larger MQ80 will fit in standard checked luggage in a flight case.

The MagicQ MQ80 will be on display at LDI, 2015; booth #1679 and shipping Oct 1st.

ChamSys occupies a unique position in lighting control: ChamSys does not believe in rules.  “You want to use your own Art-Net or sACN interfaces with all the MagicQ console universes enabled?  No problem. You want to add 8 Extra Wings to a MagicQ system?  No problem.” says Chris Kennedy, Software Director of ChamSys Ltd.

MagicQ consoles output all their universes directly from the console – no need for external processing nodes, no need to purchase additional “license” per universe. Even the free MagicQ software outputs all 64 universes of DMX.

ChamSys has cross platform compatibility: any show, from any version of the software, can be loaded on any console or PC wing and computer (Windows, Mac, or Linux), including the free MagicQ software. Multiple “consoles” can be networked to provide full, automatic or manual backup and takeover during performance.
