J. R. Clancy PowerLift Motorized Winches

J. R. Clancy’s PowerLift variable speed 0-20 fpm motorized winch has a load capacity of 2,000 pounds and no “bounce” at the start or end of a move. The company also offers a PowerLift fixed speed, 20 fpm motorized winch with a load capacity of 1,200 pounds. J. R. Clancy says it is lim-iting the capacity of some of its winches to reduce the chance that operators may overload the lines in a three-line hoist setup. That is expected to reduce the chance that an operator will be accidentally putting more stress on a batten than it can handle.

Osram BTH Lamps

Osram has introduced a new BTH lamp upgrade for 6” and 8” Fresnels.  These new lamps are also suitable for PC Spots using medium pre-focus base lamps. The BTH is a 575W lamp operating on 115V and is a direct replacement for the 500-watt, 120-volt BTL lamps, providing 30 percent more lumens and a higher color temperature.  Additionally, the rated output of the BTH of 15,500 lumens is higher than the output of a BTL lamp at 11,000 lumens.  At an average rated life of 300 hours, the BTH has the same life as most major SSTV lamp types.
