ADJ’s new, higher-powered Monster Beam 25W LED Moonflower fixture promises thicker beams in red, green, blue, white and now amber. In all, there are 25 LEDs: 5 red, 5 green 5 blue, 5 white and now 5 amber. Each LED uses a powerful 1-Watt source. All LEDs are rated for 50,000 hours of use.

More details from ADJ (www.adj.com):

The Moonflower effect has always been one of the most popular effects among DJs, nightclubs, bars, roller rinks and bowling centers because of its ease-of-use and colorful, moving beams of light that help create excitement for any type of party.

The new Monster Beam takes your lightshow to the next level with a higher capacity LED engine than any other ADJ Moonflower to date. In fact, this fixture boasts a massive 25-Watts of LED output, creating “monstrous” thick beams to be used with or without fog. The fixture’s beam angle is an impressive 29-degrees, and easily covers a large area. If fog is not allowed, the Monster Beam’s large, bright dot patterns may still be projected at a wall, ceiling or the dance floor.

Not only is it brighter, but it’s more colorful too. The Monster Beam is illuminated by 25 LEDs: 5 red, 5 green 5 blue, 5 white and now 5 amber. Each LED uses a powerful 1-Watt source. All LEDs are rated at a 50,000 hour lifespan.

“Moonflowers have always been one of our most popular effects installed in entertainment centers, or among mobile entertainers,” said, Alfred Gonzales, national sales manager for ADJ USA. “With the continuous advancements in LED technology, our customers have asked for higher powered Moonflowers with more colors. With the new 25W output boost, the new addition of amber, creating more colors, and now with thicker beams of light, the Monster Beam is sure to be a big seller in 2014!”

Just as exciting as the thick, high output multi-colored beams are the fixtures built-in programs. Just plug the unit in and set it to sound active mode. The Monster Beam will deliver worry-free, pure lighting excitement so you can focus on the music and your patrons. Along with a Sound Active mode, the Monster Beam also may be operated in DMX mode. Or connect multiple units together and they will all impressively do the same thing in Master/Slave mode. Additional control of this Moonflower may come from the ADJ UC3, easy-to-use controller, which is sold separately.

The Monster Beam’s digital display and 4-button user menu allow easy control of the fixture operation. There are also DMX In/Out link-ability and IEC In/Out power connectors to daisy-chain up to 7 Monster Beams at 120V operation, or 12 Monster Beams at 230V operation. Its multi-voltage operation (100-240V, 50/60Hz) means you don’t need to worry about voltage requirements. Just plug it in and it will sense your power requirements.

A hanging bracket to attach on truss or pipes and a safety loop to attach a safety cable are included on the unit. The maximum draw is a very low 40-Watts of power. The dimensions of the Monster Beam is 15.5” x 10” x 8.25” / 213x254x207 mm, and the weight is only 8 pounds / 3.3 kgs.
