Rusty Sheorn has joined Atlanta-based Magnum as a senior production manager. Sheorn comes to Magnum with an extensive career in production management that has taken him throughout the U.S. and overseas, all while calling Atlanta home.
A company statement says, “Sheorn’s broad background allows him to create the customer’s vision and to ensure customer satisfaction. In addition, his ability to motivate a team will lead to continued success for both Magnum and its customers. Sheorn is widely known in the industry as someone who is knowledgeable, dependable, patient and fair. All of these character traits align well with MAGNUM’s principles of honesty, integrity, hard work and an impeccable attention to detail.”
Sheorn’s initial experience in this industry was as a performer. Later, as an accomplished guitarist, he honed his skills as a front of house audio engineer, lighting director, and production manager on tours with internationally known acts. He eventually moved from the customer side of the business to the vendor side, using his knowledge and experience in every facet of audio, lighting, and staging systems that may be needed for small venues, large arenas, festivals, corporate theatre and places of worship.
Magnum was founded in 1980, at a time when few specialized entertainment production companies existed in Atlanta. Since that time, the company has developed into five self-supporting, interdependent divisions: Product Sales, Rental, Event Production, Systems Installation and Repair–growing in size and in service to become an accomplished industry leader.
