MIDDLETON, WI — ETC’s Bill Gallinghouse is moving to a new position with the company, one that is dedicated to the development of the ETC Rigging family of products. Effective Oct. 1, 2013, he will work with the company as a consultant, focusing exclusively on ETC’s rigging strategy and product line.

More details from ETC (www.etcconnect.com):

“I am really excited about this new opportunity with ETC,” Gallinghouse said. “Building the rigging capability within ETC over the past few years has been one of the most fulfilling accomplishments of my career.”

ETC launched its first rigging products in 2009, and has consistently expanded its offerings ever since. ETC Rigging – which includes innovative hoist designs and cutting-edge rigging control systems – will continue to forge new paths in the industry with Gallinghouse as its dedicated consultant.

“Bill has been part of the ETC family for more than 25 years,” says ETC CEO Fred Foster, “first as a representative; then working at ETC directly, starting in 1990; and for the last decade, serving as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. He has been instrumental in ETC’s success. His passion for rigging has helped us achieve a strong position in this area of our industry. I look forward to his continued involvement in this important part of our business.”

ETC began more than three decades ago, growing from a few college-student entrepreneurs in 1975, to a team of over 800 talented employees in offices worldwide. ETC’s product offerings, which started with lighting control consoles, consistently grew to include power-control equipment, fixtures and architectural-lighting systems. ETC then entered the rigging market, literally raising the bar on safety, design and affordability.
