NASHVILLE, TN – Bandit Lites continues its hiring spree with the additions of Sophia Phillips to the Technical Services Department (TSD) and Caleb Werkmesiter to the Sales and Integration Department.
More details from Bandit (www.BanditLites.com):
Phillips joins as a Moving Light Technician in the meticulous TSD team, the integral Bandit faction who inspect, troubleshoot, and repair all incoming equipment before it heads out on the next show.
Phillips earned her BFA in lighting design and technology from Kent State University. While in school, she worked at Cedar Point, Porthouse Theatre, and was the president of the technical theatre group for two years. Before moving to Nashville, she worked at SeaWorld on the Emergency Maintenance Team, troubleshooting everything from 360 projection domes to repairing Shamu’s personal intercom system.
“Along with Sophie’s technical background, she brings great enthusiasm and spirit to our technical services team,” said Jake Tickle, Bandit Lites Director of Technical Services. “She is detail oriented and seamlessly integrated with the rest of our staff.”
“I’m beyond excited to be here,” said Phillips on her hiring at Bandit. “The TSD team is amazing and so knowledgeable. I’m so thrilled to continue developing my skill set with them. I can already tell we’re a good fit together!”
With 2021 moving at rapid speed, Bandit’s sales team continues its expansion with the hiring of Caleb Werkmeister. Following his graduation from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Werkmeister interned at Bandit Lites with both the production and sales teams.
He has now been hired full time as a Sales and Installation Specialist, where he provides support to project managers in the office, works on site during the installation and programming phases of architectural and performance systems, as well as assists customers with troubleshooting issues and education.
“I have been continuously impressed with Caleb,” said Chris Barbee, Bandit’s Vice President of Sales and Integration. “We have put him on several challenging projects and he has exceled in all of them. There has been nothing that I’ve thrown at him that he hasn’t accomplished and knocked out of the park. We are thrilled to have him.”
“I could not have asked for a better team,” said Werkmeister. “Between the people and the opportunities, I know that I am building strong relationships and foundations for a successful career.”
