MINSK, Belarus — The Scorpions performed before 7,000 people at the Sport Arena in Minsk as part of the German band’s Humanity World Tour, and moving lights from PR Lighting, supplied by local distributor FE Belimlight, gave LD Ranier Becker the speed and precision he was looking for to help the band make its point. “The main idea was to select fixtures that could implement fast and precise changes,” said Ilya Piotrovsky, lighting technician for the event. The gear from PR Lighting included eight XL Wash 700s, eight XL 700s and 72 Pro Pars.
“The XL spot and wash lights were used right across the stage while the Pro Pars were clamped onto the front, side and back trusses,” Piotrovsky said. The moving lights were complemented by an array of conventional PAR 64s.
The lighting was controlled from a Hog iPC desk, with a Coolux Pandora Box media server driving the LED screens.
