Polish Trade Fair Brightens with Lighting Gear

KRAKOW, Poland — It may be called the Music Media Show, but along with audio systems, lighting gear is figuring prominently in this Polish trade fair. A case in point was the booth for Robe’s Polish distributor, Prolight. The 200 square-meter booth was host to Robe’s “The Future is Digital” international roadshow. Prolight’s booth had a special area set aside for the Roadshow, and Rafal Rzeczkoowski, Prolight’s sales & marketing manager, said that with representatives from venues, clubs and lighting rental companies in attendance, the show proved an “ideal opportunity to show the power and potential of Robe’s new digital technologies.”

It was also the first time Robe’s “The Future is Digital” branding was unveiled in Poland, along with the first showing of the Robe’s DigitalSpot 7000 and 3000 series. Other featured gear included Robe’s DigitalSpot 3000 DTs, DigitalSpot 7000 DTs and the RED Wash 3•192 LED wash fixtures.

A 8-meter-by-3-meter screen featuring projections from 10 Digital Spot 3000 DTs, programmed by Polish lighting designer Pawel “Spider” Pajak, dominated the center of Prolight’s booth.

Visitors also saw Robe’s ColorSpot 700E ATs and various LED technology products in use, all coordinated to create the effect of “moving” attendees into the “digital world.” Visitors also had an opportunity to learn about RDM, Robe’s Remote Device Management protocol, and to experiment with Robe’s Media Fusion software, presented at the booth along with a Hippotizer digital media server.

Prolight has already received orders additional orders for Robe’s DS3000 units, which the company had supplied for the Capital club in Warsaw.

The next installment of the Robe Roadshow in Poland is scheduled for Warsaw in December, an invitation-only event focusing on professional designers, visual and scenic artists.
