DUBAI, UAE — A multimedia show for Zayed University, which was accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, included more than 60 Clay Paky fixtures in the show designed by Gulf Arena.
The spectacle retraced the legacy of human knowledge passed down over the generations with a 25-minute choreographed combination of video, light, sound, fireworks, flames and "dancing waters," and included an appearance of the Japanese drumming group Yamato.
LD Pawel “Spider” Pajak, who also programmed and operated the grandMA console for the occasion, said the Alpha Beam 300s had “a never-seen-before brightness for their power class. They have a compact body, are lightweight, and consume only 300W. They also have a CMY wheel, very useful frost effects and a set of gobos for changing the distinctive features of the beam. Alpha Beams are also very reliable: I have used them on several occasions, both indoors and out, and they have never shown the slightest problem.”
