TEMPE, AZ – Creative BackStage finished off the Summers Ends Music Festival with a bang. The festival ran from Sept. 24-27 and is one of the largest music festivals in the Phoenix/Tempe area. The featured act ending the four-day long festival was Kanye West, and with Kanye it has to be big.

Creative BackStage worked for months with KW’s production team on their design. Creative BackStage and also worked with Stageline to make sure it all would come together on day four of the event.
For the first three nights of the festival the rig was a standard festival lighting rig with pars, movers, specials and 30’ wide LED screen This festival rig had to be 100% struck after a J Cole performance that ended at midnight on Saturday, and KW’s rig had to be installed over night.
The install included a major motor change out to variable speed motors and then the massive par rig needed to be installed. The par rig components were: 360 black par64 1k VNSP, 55 source four pars 575w VNSP, 70 100’+ soco, 10 48ch dimmer racks, 2 Hog 4 controllers, 4 – 400 amp three phase runs and 200 amp for motors. 17 variable speed motors, 100+ sheets of Lee 1/2cto gels and a lot of 20” black truss
During the show, KW’s team had preprogrammed par rig to move to different positions giving a whole new look throughout the show. Creative Backstage supplied lighting, video, sound, camera support and consulting for the four day event.
