The seventh-annual Latin American Music Awards, which were held on April 21 at the Michelob Ultra Arena at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino Las Vegas, NV offered up a sizzling celebration of Latin music alongside an inspiring message of global unity. The Latin AMAs were televised live on Telemundo as well as streamed live on Peacock and broadcast simultaneously on Spanish entertainment cable network Universo, and throughout the Americas on Telemundo Internacional.
Lighting Designer John Daniels employed more than 650 fixtures for the main event, including PRG Icon Edges, VL2600s, and PRG GroundControl Followspot System. PRG provided lighting gear and labor for the main stage in addition to red-carpet lighting for the arrivals.
Colombian pop star Karol G received the top prize for artist of the year, while her third album KG0516 won album of the year. Bad Bunny took home the prize for song of the year for his single “Dákiti.”
The Latin AMAs were hosted by Rafael Amaya, Jacqueline Bracamontes, and Cristián de la Fuente.
