LOS ANGELES —O.A.R.’s tour manager Sean Murray, production manager Kevin Cassidy and lighting designer Will Anglin have worked with Bandit client rep Brent Barrett to combine a bit of the old as the band’s 2009 “This Town” tour unfolds. Anglin has chosen to have VL 3000 spots work alongside High End Systems Studio Beams and throw in some Cyberlight Turbos for good measure. The three fixtures span 20 years of moving light development. “There is nothing quite like a Cyberlight,” Anglin said, noting that the look works for him on this show.
There’s nothing retro about the grandMA console, however, which is used to control the show, and a collection of trussing, motors and drapes completes the unique look for this 11-year-old band out of Maryland.
