LEBANON, TN —Leviton recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark plans to open a 450,000 square-foot automated distribution facility in the Nashville area in February 2009. The event was attended by Donald Hendler, president and CEO of Leviton, Stephen Sokolow, chairman of Leviton’s board of directors, local business group leaders and government officials. The center will serve as one of the company’s two domestic warehousing and distribution hubs, servicing U.S. customers east of the Mississippi River. It will also function as a regional showcase for the company’s distribution technology and products, including its occupancy sensors, light switches, outlets and commercial networking devices. It is expected to handle over half of Leviton’s U.S. order volume and bring approximately 150 new jobs to the area.
