ESCONDIDO, CA — Jeff Ravitz of Intensity Advisors served as LD for author Dr. Wayne Dyer’s recent PBS pledge drive special, I Can See Clearly Now. The show premiered nationwide on PBS on March 4 and will continue to air throughout March. It was the author’s 10th program for public television and was taped before a live audience at the California Center For the Arts here.

Wayne Dyer on PBS, lit by Jeff RavitzThe title of the broadcast takes its name from Dr. Dyer’s most recent book release.  Historically, Dr. Dyer’s specials have brought in record-setting pledge donations.

Ravitz explains a bit about the philosophy behind the lighting of an evening with Wayne Dyer. “There is a careful balance that must be achieved with the lighting in order to preserve the intimate relationship Dr. Dyer establishes with his audience during these ninety-minute talks. I am ever-mindful to create an inclusive, two-way atmosphere rather than a tone of speaker vs audience.  The audience is lit with subtlety to integrate them into the process so Dr. Dyer, and the cameras, can feed off their reactions and expressions.”

Ravitz is currently preparing to work on the thirtieth anniversary TED Conference in Vancouver, BC.
