In November 2021, INFiLED installed three GX Series screens for the Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport. These include a 216-square-meter giant display set up above the baggage security checkpoint, as well as two upright screens installed near the domestic arrivals area.
Located in Guizhou, Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport is an important aviation hub in western China, with an annual passenger throughput of over 20 million. Taking into account such a large passenger flow, the airport decided to add a T3 terminal in 2021. For display solutions in the interior of the new terminal, the airport thought it would be a good idea to install some LED screens.
At the baggage security checkpoint, where all departing passengers must go through, INFiLED constructed an ultra-large screen above it by using its GX2.97. This conspicuous screen, modern-looking screen serves as a carrier for disseminating advertisements, engaging the passing passengers.
The large GX2.97 screen has a brightness of 1,000 nits, an ultra-wide viewing angle of 160°, and its panels are anti-glare, ensuring that passengers are comfortable with visual perception when viewing the display. Moreover, the entire screen surface is flush with the wall. This look is achieved because the GX series cabinets are only 74mm thick and are made of lightweight magnesium-aluminum die-cast material, which easily facilitates wall-mounting.
There are also other two GX series displays erected in the arrivals zone of the T3 terminal. This setup impresses people who arrive at Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport for the first time. With a pixel pitch of merely 2.5mm and a high refresh rate of 3,840Hz, these two screens displayed distinct content, which makes a strong impression on the arriving passengers.
In the overall design, the two upright displays are equipped with independent data units, as well as modular power supplies and signals, which vastly facilitate the inspection and backup of these essential components. Front and rear maintenance is supported, when something is wrong with these displays, the technicians can take down the panels from the frame readily and repair them in time.
