John M. Flaws of La Grange Highlands, IL, co-owner of Windy City Music, a music retail business that branched out into entertainment lighting and sound systems sales and rentals, recently passed away. He was 58.
Windy City Music, founded in 1981 by Randy Flaws, relocated around the Chicago area as it grew, moving from Lincolnwood to Glenview and Burr Ridge, IL. Flaws is survived by his wife Maribeth, three daughters, five brothers, a sister, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Claudia Flaws.
Services were held at the Hallowell & James Funeral Home in Countryside, IL and at St. John of the Cross Church in Western Springs, IL. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The H Foundation in John’s memory.
