Daniel S. “Dann” Whittaker died unexpectedly on Sept. 5, 2023 in Columbus, OH. He founded and ran We3Co, LLC, doing business as ShoPros Ohio LLC, in 2006. Not long after founding the company, Whittaker married Melanie J. Williams in 2007.
Dann and Melanie Whittaker continued to run and expand the stagehand and labor company, which provides skilled and non-skilled services for community, corporate, and concert events. Now with offices in Ohio and Florida, ShoPros travels anywhere clients need support.
Whittaker, who resided in Venice, FL at the time of his passing, was born in Portsmouth, OH on Nov. 30, 1959. As he grew up, he was drawn to music, radio and broadcasting, and along with his prowess as a DJ, he is remembered as a hard worker who took pride in being able to provide for his family by doing the work that he loved. He is also remembered for his sense of humor, friendliness and deep love of his children and grandchildren.
Whittaker is survived by his wife Melanie, two sons, two daughters, a stepson, a brother, a nephew and four grandchildren as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and inlaws. He was preceded in death by his son Cory and parents Rodney and Sue Whittaker. Services were held in Worthington, OH on Sept. 11, 2023.
