NEW YORK — Chauvet & Sons, Inc. launched its Iluminarc subsidiary and brand of architectural lighting products at Lightfair International, May 5-7. More than 20 LED-fitted products were on display. “Iluminarc is committed to offering sensible lighting solutions and quality service,” said Jamey Brock, a 17-year industry veteran who is in charge of the product line’s launch. “One of our competitive advantages is in our ability to anticipate and react quickly to shifts in the rapidly changing architectural lighting market, and the growing demand for efficient lighting,” Brock added.

The initial launch features LED technology but the company is also pursuing other energy-efficient technologies, Brock said.  The initial offering includes indoor/outdoor linear, pod and panel luminaires and control systems. All products are ETL listed and meet industry standards for architects, lighting specifiers and systems integrators.

The outdoor products are rated IP66 or IP67. Two have been submitted for the Lightfair International Innovation Award — the Ilumipod 48 IP, a RGBW PAR-style wash light with a color temperature range of 3,200K to 10,000K, and the Ilumipod 36 IP VW, a multipurpose variable white light with 18 warm and 18 cool white LEDs and a color temperature of 2,800K to 7,000K. Both can be controlled via DMX-512.

The indoor line includes DMX-controllable units and a self-contained lighting system called Logic. At the heart of the system is the Logic 4 x 36, which delivers data and power to an assortment of linear MR-16- and AR1-11 sized fixtures.

The Iluminarc division’s Web site will be launched with the product line this month. Iluminarc representatives will be on hand at Lightfair booth #142.
