AARHUS, Denmark — Martin Professional A/S is reorganizing its European sales subsidiaries with the creation of a regional sales organization, Martin EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), which will be based at Martin’s headquarter office. During 2009, Martin’s current European subsidiaries will be integrated into the new structure. Martin’s distributors within the area will be served by the new European regional organization at a later stage, the company said.
Villads Thomsen, vice president EMEA, has been named as the head of Martin EMEA. Thomsen, previously managing director at Martin Professional’s Scandinavian subsidiary, assumed the new position Jan. 1. Steen Matthiesen, currently CFO at Martin France, will serve as the new organization’s CFO.
“The creation of Martin EMEA has been part of our long range plan for quite some time and we are delighted that it is now being actualized,” said Christian Engsted, Martin Professional A/S CEO, who called the reorganization “the optimal structure to both develop and strengthen customer relationships across the region,” helping Martin “optimize cross-border supply and support, arrange international financing and maintain competitive pricing.”
