CINCINNATI — The Joint Training Initiative of The ESTA Foundation and USITT have announced a Control Protocols Workshop to be held March 16 and 17 at the Duke Energy Convention Center, two days prior to the USITT National Conference. The workshop registration deadline is March 9. The two-day course is for entertainment technicians at a basic to intermediate level. The training will cover current control protocols including RDM over USITT DMX512-A and Architecture for Control Networks. ETCP certified entertainment electricians can also get certification renewal credits by taking the course.
Milton Davis of Doug Fleenor Design, an ETCP certified electrician/ETCP recognized trainer who is also a member of the ESTA Technical Standards Program’s Control Protocols Working Group, will teach the course.
