TORONTO — Epic Production Technologies named Martin Kelley senior account executive. Kelley has worked as a technician, lighting consultant and designer of music videos and tours, and, most recently, on the sales and account representation side of the business with bands including Rage Against the Machine, The Killers, Feist, Daughtry, Virgin Festivals and Linkin Park.
“I am thrilled to welcome Martin to the Epic family,” said Marc Raymond, chairman and CEO. “His professionalism, his engaging personality and his years of experience working with world class artists and events make him a perfect fit with our rapidly expanding organization.”
“I have known and greatly respected many of the people connected to Epic throughout my career and feel that this is the company that can give me the opportunities and challenges I am looking for,” said Kelley.
Kelley’s interest in production lighting goes back to his days as a student working in the amateur theatre department for school productions.
In 1992, Kelley joined Stagetech, a Toronto sound and lighting company where he worked as a lighting technician, board operator and eventually production manager.
In 1996 Kelley joined Christie Lites where his career developed from technician to respected lighting consultant and designer of music videos and tours for a number of well established Canadian artists.
As an account representative at Christie, Kelley also consulted on many television and feature film productions and was the club lighting designer on the film ‘54’ based on the New York nightclub.
Over the past decade Kelley has focused his career on the sales and account representation side of the business, developing strong relationships with top lighting designers and providing custom lighting solutions to the international concert, television/film and corporate event industries.
Kelley will continue to be based out of Toronto and can be reached at martink@epicpt.com
