NEW YORK – The Designers Lighting Forum of New York (DLFNY), with the support of the New York section of the IES, has set March 11 as the date for its third annual program on LED technology. This year's event is expected to feature over 70 manufacturers, have expanded hours and serve as a unique informational program designed for the lighting community. Events will include a presentation by the Next Generation of Luminaires (NGL) Design Competition with the results of a national competition among LED/Solid State Lighting manufacturers. Many of the selected products will be on display in a product showcase area.
Two special LED seminars recognized by the AIA for Continuing Education Credits (HSW category) and those who take them could be eligible for meeting state licensure requirements.
The event will take place at Hotel Pennsylvania, 401 Seventh Ave. at 32nd St. in New York on Wednesday, March 11. Exhibit hours are from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Next Generation of Luminaires (NGL) presentations will be at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. LED Basics will be at 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
The event will be offered at no extra charge to DLF and IES members, but pre-registration is required. The fee for others is $20, and pre-registration is required as well. For insite registration, a fee of $25 will be charged to all. Students are welcome at no charge with pre-registration; student ID is required. Pre-registration closes March 7.
