MANCHESTER, TN –  Bandit Lites was more than ready when more than 80,000 music fans poured into the 700 acre site known as “The Farm” for the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, an event Rolling Stone magazine has referred to as one of the “50 Events that Changed Rock and Roll.”  The four-day music festival offers more than 150 acts on many stages. Bandit Lites has provided the lighting for Bonnaroo since its inception 12 years ago, working with many of the individual designers to meet their needs at the event within the framework of a festival system.
More details from Bandit Lites (www.banditlites.com):

This year’s acts included Jack Johnson, Paul McCartney, Tom Petty, The Lumineers, Bjork, Wilco, Pretty Lights, R. Kelly, Wu-Tang Clan, Daniel Tosh, The National, David Byrne & St. Vincent, Passion Pit, The XX, Nas, Bob Saget, Kendrick Lamar, Grizzly Bear, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Animal Collective, Of Monsters and Men and Empire of the Sun.

In keeping with Bonnaroo’s environmentally aware mission, Bandit included a total green lighting solution with GRNLite equipment, which both conserved energy and provided brilliant LED lighting. Equipment used included GRN Pars, GRN 8 Lites and GRN Moving Washes as well as Clay Paky Sharpys, Vari-Lite 3000 spots and Lycian M2 long throw spots.

Working with the many individual designers to meet their needs within the framework of a festival system, Bandit Lites’ crew consisted of Aaron Swetland, Steve Hoover, Jim Greenawalt and Jon Houle.

“We at Bandit really enjoy being involved with Bonnaroo,” said Bandit client representative and coordinator, Dizzy Gosnell. “It has become the benchmark for festivals in the new age of outdoor shows. It has been a privilege working with Hadden Hippsley and the entire team at Lambda Productions, including Steve Drymalski and Joel Carmichael. Their approach to every detail in the four-day event has been proven to work, keeping both artists and fans coming back for more.”
