NASHVILLE – Bandit Lites added Robe’s BMFL Spots to the other Robe gear in its inventory, including 100 LEDBeam, 600 LEDWash, 1200 LEDWash, CycFX8 and Pointe fixtures. LDs including Seth Jackson, Rich Stembridge, Candace Brightman, Paul Hoffman, Chris Lisle and Dave Butzler have already requested the BMFLs for Barry Manilow, Alabama Shakes, the Grateful Dead, Miranda Lambert and Garth Brooks.
More details from Bandit Lites (www.banditlites.com):
The new Robe BMFL is a light to behold: Bigger, brighter and bolder than the rest, this successful fixture is taking the world by storm, and Bandit Lites is no exception. Upon seeing the BMFL in action, Bandit placed a large fixture order.
The results have spoken for themselves ever since as designer Seth Jackson took the first batch out on the Barry Manilow Farewell Tour. Alabama Shakes designer Rich Stembridge then jumped in and took a load with him, and soon legendary designer Candace Brightman and Paul Hoffman demanded 50 BMFLs be on the Grateful Dead’s Fare Thee Well final concerts in Chicago. Designer Chris Lisle ordered up a big batch for the new Miranda Lambert tour, and as popular as they are, several dozen were specified for the Firefly Festival in Dover, Delaware.
Now, designer Dave Butzler has inserted 50 BMFL’s on the current Garth Brooks world tour, a show that was already on the road. Dave saw them and had to have them, but he had to wait as demand outstripped supply!
The BMFL has all the features you would expect, and a few others that simply stand out. The output is a stunning 250,000 Lux at 5 meters. A CRI of 90 is extraordinary. A wicked 5 to 55 degree zoom is amazing. There are two rotating prisms which allow for unequalled effects. Dual graphic wheels and a strobe rate of 10 flashes per second top it all off, giving the user a very wide pallet of effects.
The BMFL joins the current Bandit stock of other Robe products, including Robin 100 LEDBeam, Robin 600 LEDWash, Robin 1200 LEDWash, CycFX8 and the Pointe. The entire range is constructed to be bulletproof and the level of required maintenance is a minimum. The demand for the Robe products has been tremendous and the new BMFL simply adds to the tool kit another sought after solution.
Harry von dem Stemmen, Bob Schacherl and Kevin Loretto worked closely with Bandit on the BMFL acquisition and the attention to need and detail was world class. Bandit Chair Michael T. Strickland offered, “The BMFL is a fantastic light and the Robe team is equally spectacular. Robe products are manufactured in such a fashion that they require very little maintenance, and that translates into a very reliable fixture. This means very few headaches for Bandit, the designer and the artist. Thank you Robe!”
