In an update issued on Jan. 19, 2024, the 22nd Parnelli Awards ceremony set for Friday, Jan. 26, 2024 has officially sold out, notes Terry Lowe, President of Timeless Communications, which publishes PLSN and FOH magazines and produces the annual awards event.
“Having the Parnelli Awards sell out a week before the event is a true testimony to how the industry cherishes these awards,” Lowe said. “I know Parnelli Awards co-founder Patrick Stansfield would be more than pleased, knowing that what he and I conceived more than 20 years ago has truly taken on a life of its own.”
The 22nd Annual Parnelli Awards will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center during the NAMM show. And with the live event industry and concert touring hitting record highs in 2023, it’s not surprising that there was so much demand for tickets for this year’s ceremony, which will present awards for career achievement to Jim Brammer (Lifetime Achievement), Carol Dodds (Visionary) and Buford Jones (Audio Innovator).
Along with these esteemed honorees, accolades will be offered for winners in more than two dozen other professional production categories, including companies, creatives and products that made all the difference in lighting, video, staging/effects, and audio for the most spectacular shows and events in 2023. The festivities begin with the Parnelli Cocktail Party at 6 p.m., followed by the awards banquet and ceremony at 7 p.m.
