GLP has appointed José C. de las Heras as sales manager to launch its new operation in Spain. Bringing a deep knowledge of the Spanish lighting market from his extensive time running Monacor Iberia, the company says he is the perfect candidate to head the newly set up GLP Spain.
With wide managerial experience, a proven professional track record, and an extensive network, de las Heras is experienced in leadership, strategic vision, accounts management, communication, and creating professional relationships. “The impact of these management skills in the different companies in which I have worked has been excellent,” he says.
De las Heras, a fluent English speaker, jumped at the chance to be associated with a brand which he describes as “a reference in the lighting events market.” He adds, “The brand is strong, the products are suitable for all types of events, and the company is focused on delivering the best customer and audience experience.” But fundamentally, he says, the decision to join the German manufacturer was based on the people and the community in which he will be working.
Initially, says the new sales manager, he will focus on establishing communication and developing relationships with the key players in the growing Spanish market. “My eventual aim is for GLP to lead the lighting events market in Spain,” he concludes.
